Semi engulfed in flames on I-94 near Northbrook, video shows

NORTHBROOK (WLS) -- A burning semi-truck snarled traffic on the Edens Expressway Sunday evening.

The truck caught fire on I-94 just south of Lake Cook Road in Northbrook.

Eastbound lanes appeared to be closed while firefighters extinguished the flames.

The truck was loaded with packages, which appear to be destroyed.

It's not yet known what sparked the fire.

There were no reports of injuries.
