2 found shot to death inside vehicle in Gary parking lot, police say

GARY, Ind. (WLS) -- Two people were found shot to death inside a vehicle early Thursday in Northwest Indiana.

Gary police found the bodies around 3:45 a.m. near 35th Avenue and Grant Street after they heard gunshots in the area of the Village Shopping Center, officials said.

The two victims were found in an SUV in a parking with multiple gunshot wounds, police said.

They were pronounced dead at the scene. Their identities have not been released.

No further information was immediately available as Gary police continue to investigate.
