Park officials say it all stemmed from a guest disturbance on the platform.

HERSHEY, Pa. -- It was not a smooth ride or the thrill some Hersheypark guests thought they would experience.
A new video shows them walking down the tracks of the Comet roller coaster on Sunday.

Park officials say it all stemmed from a guest disturbance on the platform, adding that there were no mechanical or operational issues whatsoever.
"The Comet experienced a brief, temporary stoppage that was unrelated to the ride itself and stemmed from a guest disturbance on the platform. The ride and our team members performed exactly as designed," park officials said in a statement.
Hersheypark says its team members safely assisted guests back to the station without incident and the ride resumed normal operation.
