Baby killed, 7 others hurt in I-57 crash in Harvey, Illinois State Police say

HARVEY, Ill. (WLS) -- A 6-month-old has been identified as a baby killed in an I-57 crash in Harvey, Illinois State Police and officials said.

The rollover crash happened on Sunday at about 5:48 p.m. on I-57 north of 147th Street in Harvey, police said.

Police said a 6-month-old was taken to an area hospital and died.

The child was identified as Dakari Lomax of Chicago, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.

Seven other people were taken to a local hospital injuries, police said.

The crash temporarily shut down northbound traffic and the entrance ramp from 147th Street until 10:47 p.m.

No other information was available.
