Harvey hostage situation, standoff PHOTOS

SWAT team officers swarmed a home in Harvey Wednesday after a nearly 21-hour standoff with police.
Around 9:15 a.m. Wednesday, two children were escorted out of the home. They were followed by two female adults, the last of the hostages to be released.
Just after 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, the first suspect was taken into custody.
About a minute later, the second suspect was taken out by police.
The standoff began Tuesday at 1 p.m. after the burglary suspects exchanged gunfire with a Harvey police officer.
One officer was shot in the arm; another was grazed by a bullet. The burglary suspects barricaded themselves inside the home with eight hostages.
Officials from dozens of agencies remained on the scene overnight.
Sheriff Tom Dart said the SWAT teams waited for the right moment to move in.

After a 20-hour standoff, two offenders were taken into police custody. None of the eight hostages, which included six children, was injured.
