
CHICAGO (WLS) -- A hit-and-run driver injured a woman on a scooter on Chicago's North Side on Tuesday evening, police said.
Police said officers responded to the crash in the Old Town neighborhood at North Clybourn Avenue and West Division Street around 8:15 p.m.
A 33-year-old woman was riding a scooter when a Honda Civic, traveling northwest on Clybourn, struck her, police said.
Police said the woman was initially taken to Northwestern Hospital in serious condition, but she is now in fair condition, with a knee injury.
The driver fled the scene. Area Three detectives are investigating.
