
CARPENTERSVILLE, Ill. (WLS) -- A human skull was discovered in a forest preserve in west suburban Kane County.
The sheriff's office said the skull was found Sunday evening at Raceway Woods Forest Preserve in Carpentersville by a person walking in the area, ABC7 Chicago news partner the Daily Herald reported.
No other bones were recovered.

An anthropologist will examine the skull. It can take months for them to deliver a report about what happened.
No additional leads were generated by evidence collected at the scene, the Daily Herald reported.
