Formal announcement coming after March primary for U.S. House reelection bid

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Congressman Mike Quigley says he's going to run for Chicago mayor in 2027.
He mentioned his plans in an interview on WGN Radio on Tuesday.
Quigley, who is currently running for reelection to his seat in the U.S. House of Representatives, says he would make a formal announcement sometime after the March primary.

Quigley is one of several high profile names expected to challenge Mayor Brandon Johnson in next year's election.
