Jarosch Bakery celebrates National Cookie Day as holiday orders ramp up

National Cookie Day is giving a spotlight to Jarosch Bakery, the longtime suburban favorite known for its handmade butter cookies and festive holiday treats.

The scratch bakery, serving Elk Grove Village since 1959, is preparing to move into a new building on the same Arlington Heights and Higgins Road corner in 2026.

With the holiday rush underway, Jarosch says customers have until Dec. 16 to place cookie orders for pickup the following week, while all other Christmas orders are due Dec. 20.
