$5K worth of Funko collectibles stolen from Joliet apartment, 2 arrested, police say

JOLIET, Ill. (WLS) -- Five thousand dollars in stolen Funko Pop! figures were recovered after a traffic stop in the Chicago area.

Police say Demetrius Greene and Stacey Jones stole the collectibles from an apartment in Joliet.

Investigators say the owner tried to stop the suspect, but Greene allegedly pushed him into a table.

Officers say they caught the two suspects in a ride-share after they left the apartment.

Greene was on pre-trial release in a prior criminal case, police said.
