Nearby schools were placed on a 'secure and teach' out of an abundance of caution during the search warrant, police said.

JOLIET, Ill. (WLS) -- The arrest of a 35-year-old Joliet man Thursday morning sparked a shelter-in-place order in the area, police said.
Joliet police conducted a search warrant about 9 a.m. in the 1000-block of North Raynor Avenue, as part of a narcotics and firearms investigation.
Jesus Zambrano was taken into custody and charged with unlawful possession of a firearm, possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and criminal violation of pre-trial release, police said.
Two women were released at the scene, police said.

While serving the warrant at a home on the block, police found several loaded guns, ammunition and suspected cocaine, heroin and Xanax pills, police said.
Zambrano is currently on pre-trial release for past criminal charges and was wearing an ankle monitoring device at the time of the search warrant, police said.
While police were on the scene, they issued a shelter-in-place order as a precaution, they said.
A nearby school was also placed on "Secure and Teach" protocol for nearly one hour to ensure student and staff safety, police said.
Zambrano is being held at the Will County Jail.
Chopper 7 was over the scene about 10:30 a.m.
There were several apparent law enforcement vehicles in the residential area.
