HUNTLEY, Ill. (WLS) -- New details were revealed in court after a northwest suburban couple was charged in connection with a disturbing video involving a dog, officials said.

Huntley police said in July, they received a report of a video of a man engaging in inappropriate sexual contact with a dog. Investigators later identified the suspects as 23-year-old Efin Nolte and his girlfriend, 27-year-old Katelyn Heiden.

The McHenry County State's Attorney's Office said Heiden allegedly recorded Nolte engaging in sexual conduct with a dog at their home in the 9900-block of Yardley Drive.

Nolte is charged with Sexual Conduct with an Animal, and Heiden is charged with Aiding Sexual Conduct with an Animal, the state's attorney's office said.

Huntley police originally said they were each charged with one count of Sexual Conduct with an Animal.

The state's attorney's office said Sexual Conduct with an Animal is not a detainable offense, and the couple will be released from custody pending trial.

The couple's next court appearance is scheduled for Dec. 12.

Huntley police asked anyone with information to call them at 847-515-5311 or submit an anonymous tip by calling 847-515-5333.
