CHICAGO (WLS) -- Doctors at Northwestern Memorial Hospital upgraded Loop shooting victim Steven Lavoie to serious condition on Tuesday.

LaVoie was in critical condition after a disgruntled employee shot him two weeks ago and then killed himself.

Doctors are crediting LaVoie's recovery to the excellent health he was in when he arrived at the hospital.
