

ELGIN, Ill. (WLS) -- A man's body was recovered from a bank of the Fox River in west suburban Elgin early Friday morning, officials said.
Police responded about 3:50 a.m. to the 200-block of North Grove Avenue for a report of a body.
Elgin fire crews and the Kane County Coroner's Office also responded.

Officials asked the public to stay away from the area during the investigation, which drew a large police response.
The coroner's office said an autopsy was performed Friday, and the investigation is ongoing.
The events surrounding the man's death were not immediately clear.
