2-month-old puppy stolen from River North shelter, Anti-Cruelty says

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Someone stole a puppy from a Chicago shelter on Sunday evening, the Anti-Cruelty Society said.

The Anti-Cruelty spokesperson said Peter, a 2-month-old Dachshund mix, was taken from their shelter at 510 North La Salle Drive in River North.

The shelter says Peter needs specialized care because of his age, and there is concern for his safety.

They are asking whoever took him to bring him back.
