Mosquitoes test positive for West Nile Virus in Naperville: Officials

DUPAGE COUNTY, Ill. (WLS) -- The city of Naperville is taking action after mosquitoes there tested positive for West Nile Virus.

The traps were on Oleson Drive and Jackson Avenue. Crews have sprayed the immediate area.

Official are also asking people to get rid of standing water, which can be a haven for mosquito eggs.

People who live Naperville are urged to take precautions to avoid mosquito bites.

Officials said people should wear insect repellent and avoid being outside during dusk and dawn when mosquitoes are most active.
