Netflix develops NYE programming for kids

LOS GATOS, Calif. -- Netflix is offering parents a way to trick their kids into going to bed early on New Year's Eve.

The video-streaming service will offer an on-demand New Year's Eve show for kids that can be played at any time.

But the animated countdown to 2015 is only three minutes long, so parents will need to time it carefully if they want to fool the kids into thinking they've stayed up until midnight.
