New Portillo's to open on Michigan Avenue in the Loop

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Portillo's, a Chicago favorite, is opening a brand new location in the Loop on Michigan Avenue.

"Chicago is where the Portillo's story began, and opening in the heart of the city is not only an incredibly proud moment for our brand, but also a recognition of how important Chicagoans are, not only to our history, but to our future," said Brett Patterson, President and Chief Executive Officer.

The new location will be located at 304 North Michigan Avenue, just south of the Magnificent Mile.

The new location will mark the fourth Portillo's restaurant in the city.

The Michigan Avenue location will be the first in-line, walk-up Portillo's. It was designed for guests on the go.

So far, no opening date has been released.

However, 304 North Michigan Avenue has "coming soon" graphics on the windows.
