Northwestern Memorial Hospital ranks 10th best on U.S. News list

CHICAGO (WLS) -- One of the country's best hospitals can be found right here in Chicago.

U.S. News & World Report ranked Northwestern Memorial Hospital No. 10 on its list of best hospitals in the nation. The hospital also ranks No. 1 in Illinois and Chicago.

This is the third year in a row Northwestern Memorial has been named to the magazine's Honor Roll. The hospital was also ranked as among the best in 14 different specialties.

Patient survival, safety data, nurse staffing levels and other data help determine a hospital's rank, according to a release.
