Pace will begin offering express bus service between the Brookfield Zoo and several CTA lines, the transit agency announced Wednesday.
Pace will begin running routes 770 and 771 on May 26, which will connect the zoo and the CTA Blue, Green and Pink lines. The routes will stop at the CTA Green Line Harlem station, the Blue Line Forest Park Transit Center and the Pink Line 54th/Cermak station. The agency will begin running route 772 on June 7, which will connect the zoo with the 95th/Dan Ryan Red Line station, officials said.
"We're excited to add these new routes to our roster of Express Service to Popular Destinations, which offer express travel to places including Soldier Field, U.S. Cellular Field and Wrigley Field," said Pace Chairman of the Board Richard Kwasneski in a release. "Whether we're carrying customers from suburban locations to destinations in Chicago or vice-versa, our express service provides families, seniors and everyone else with stress-free travel to a number of fun places throughout Chicagoland."
All three routes will operate until Aug. 30. A regular adult fare on the routes is $1.75 and up to two children ages 7 and under can ride free. Other ride free programs for seniors and people with disabilities are available through the RTA, officials said.
