Palatine chef serves up pizza with purpose for National Pizza Month

PALATINE, Ill. (WLS) -- Chef Giovanni Labbate of Tievoli Pizza Bar in Palatine is celebrating National Pizza Month by giving back.

Fresh off international pizza competitions, Labbate is donating 100% of proceeds from limited-edition pink Tievoli T-shirts to the American Cancer Society for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

He's also featuring a seasonal favorite, the Harvest Pizza, made with roasted butternut squash, applewood bacon and balsamic red onions.

Tievoli, which means "I love it" backward, is a family-run spot where passion, pizza, and purpose all come together.
