Five people hospitalized after South Side rollover crash on I-57: ISP

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Five people were hospitalized after a rollover crash on Chicago's South Side early Friday, Illinois State Police said.

ISP said troopers responded to northbound Interstate 57 near 99th Street just after 2 a.m. The crash involved a blue Ford Explorer.

ISP said injuries were reported, and at least five people were taken to local hospitals. Their conditions were not yet known.

What caused the crash was also not clear.

Authorities did not immediately provide further information about the crash.
