CHICAGO (WLS) -- The Chicago Park District is assessing the damage in Humboldt Park after the weekend Riot Fest music festival. Friday's rain turned the park into a sloppy mud pit all weekend.

The Chicago Park District is assessing the damage in Humboldt Park after the weekend Riot Fest music festival.

The festival site will remain closed to the public until at least Thursday as officials determine the real extent of the damage and create a plan for repairs.

Riot Fest organizers are responsible for the damage.
