CHICAGO (WLS) -- Helping young women reach their potential in sports and beyond was the goal of a fundraiser last week.
The RISE Affair, a Wimbledon-inspired gala, raised money for the Kevin Minor Legacy Fund.
It's the largest scholarship in the Midwest for young girls in tennis.
"Good Morning America" anchor Robin Roberts participated in a fireside chat at the event Thursday night in Chicago.
She talked about how sports helped her throughout her life.
ABC7 Chicago's Jasmine Minor hosted the event, in collaboration with the Chicago Fashion Coalition, which celebrated and honored the legacy of her father.
Hundreds attended the event last week.
