Man shot, robbed in River North, Chicago police say

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A man was shot and robbed while walking in River North on Sunday, Chicago police said.

The shooting happened at about 2:13 am. in the 400 block of N. LaSalle Drive, police said.

A man, 32, was walking when a white SUV approached him.

CPD said someone in the vehicle demanded the victim's things, and someone started to shoot.

The victim was shot multiple times and was rushed to Northwestern Memorial Hospital. At last check, he was in critical condition, police said.

No other injuries were reported.

CPD said the suspects fled the scene in a white SUV.
