Death investigation underway after body found in pond in Schaumburg, police say

SCHAUMBURG, Ill. (WLS) -- Schaumburg police are conducting a death investigation after a body was found in a pond Wednesday morning.

Police responded around 6:20 a.m. to a report of a man in a pond near the 1800 block of Walden Office Square in Schaumburg , officials said.

The man's body was recovered from the water, and police said he had no obvious signs of injuries. His age and identity were not yet know.

No further information was available as police continue to investigate.
