Spike Lee responds to 'Chi-Raq' criticism

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Director Spike Lee is responding to criticism over his controversial new film "Chi-Raq".

Lee released the video statement Friday on Twitter. He also released a second trailer promoting the new film that was shot in Chicago.

Actor John Cusack plays a character based on St. Sabina's Father Michael Pfleger.

"Chi-Raq" is scheduled for release next month.
