Teen driving e-bike killed in Franklin Park crash, police say

FRANKLIN PARK, Ill. (WLS) -- A 19-year-old man riding an e-bike was killed in a crash in Franklin Park Tuesday morning, police said.

Police responded at about 6:30 a.m. to the intersection of Belmont Avenue and George Street for the crash involving a car and an e-bike.

The 19-year-old driver of the e-bike was transported to Loyola Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

The 63-year-old man driving the car remained on the scene, police said.

The Major Crash Unit of the West Suburban Major Crimes Task Force is investigating.
