HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill. (WLS) -- Chicago Bears kicker Robbie Gould is a force on the field, but he is also helping make our communities better with his charity, The Goulden Touch. To raise funds for that organization and another, Working in the Schools (WITS), Gould hosted the second annual Gouldilocks and the Bears 5K Run/Walk in Hoffman Estates.
The mission of The Goulden Touch is to help those in need. The charity focuses on four Goulden Rules, including education, health and wellness, medical research, and social service.
The non-profit organization Working in the Schools promotes literacy among Chicago's children by providing tutoring and mentoring.
The Goulden Touch founder and CEO, Robbie Gould, and Brenda Palm, executive director at WITS, joined us live from Hoffman Estates during our ABC 7 Eyewitness News Sunday Morning to talk about the event and the charities.
