Police investigating College of Lake County employee who also works at Wauconda High School

WAUCONDA, Ill. (WLS) -- Wauconda police have launched an investigation into a College of Lake County employee who also works at Wauconda High School.

The Wauconda Police Department said on Tuesday that it "has been made aware of a situation" involving the employee.

CLC issued a statement, saying college officials immediately placed the employee on administrative leave when they became aware of the situation. The employee has not been on college or high school property since.

Wauconda police said their investigators are in the early stages of gathering information. Police did not immediately say what the investigation surrounds or what type of work the employee does.

CLC and Wauconda Community Unit School District 118 said they are cooperating with the investigation.
