Waukegan teachers strike extends to 10th day Friday

WAUKEGAN, Ill. -- Students will miss a 10th day of school Friday in Waukegan because of an ongoing teachers strike.

The district and union have not been able to agree on teachers' pay, and both sides said Thursday that progress had been made on other issues.

No new talks have been scheduled.
