Man shot to death inside moving vehicle in West Town, police say

CHICAGO -- A man was shot to death inside a moving vehicle on the city's West Side on Tuesday afternoon, Chicago police said.

Police said the shooting happened in the West Town neighborhood's 700-block of North Wolcott Avenue just before 4:45 p.m.

A 32-year-old man was shot by an unknown person, police said.

The victim, shot in the torso, was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Area Three detectives are investigating.
