XL Fest 2025 returns to Chicago, celebrates cinema storytelling

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A local film festival is celebrating cinema storytelling.

XL Fest is back in Chicago, kicking off Thursday.

XL Fest founder Troy Pryor joined ABC7 Wednesday along with George Daniels, who will have a screening of his new documentary during the festival.

They spoke about XL Fest and why it is so important to Chicago.

XL Fest runs August 14 to 23 at the David Rubenstein Forum at the University of Chicago, 1201 E. 60th St.
