CTA Holiday Train to start spreading cheer Friday

CHICAGO (WLS) -- The CTA is ready to spread holiday cheer as its much-anticipated annual Holiday Train begins service on Friday afternoon at Midway International Airport.

The Green Line train will be staffed by Santa Claus and his helper elves, who will hand out candy canes to all the good boys and girls.

The Holiday Train, which has been in operation for the last 23 years, will travel all eight rail lines through late December. Normal CTA fares apply.
