7-year-old girl hit, killed by school bus in New York

MONSEY, N.Y. -- A 7-year-old girl was fatally struck by a school bus in Rockland County, New York on Wednesday morning.

It happened in Monsey just after 9 a.m.

A 28-year-old man from Monsey was driving the bus at the time of the incident, police said.

Hatzalah EMS pronounced the girl dead at the scene.

No drugs or alcohol are suspected as contributors to the crash, and no criminal charges are expected at this time.

The deadly crash is being investigated by the Ramapo Police Crash Investigation Unit.
