'A Boy Named Bobby' screening at Obama Presidential Center

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A powerful film, written and directed by a Chicago film maker, is hitting the big screen at the Obama Presidential Center.

"A Boy Named Bobby" is making its Chicago debut next Sunday during the XL Film Fest.

The film sheds light on critical social issues through a deeply human story.

It won Best Black Culture Film at the World Film Festival in Cannes.

Director Ade Akisanya and producer Pemon Rami joined ABC7.
