CHICAGO (WLS) -- As the country prepares to mark 25 years since the 9/11 attacks, a local foundation is remembering those who risked their lives that fateful day.
On Saturday, September 12, Tunnel to Towers will host its inaugural Chicago Tower Climb.
The event will honor Chicago-area first responders and military service members, who serve, sacrifice, and protect us every day.
Proceeds will go directly to helping the families of these everyday heroes.
Director of the Tunnel to Towers Chicago Tower Climb Steve Linder joined ABC7 to talk about the event.
The event is happening from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 150 N. Riverside Plaza.
