2026 Puerto Rican Museum's Annual Raíces Gala honors 3 stars

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Three stars will be honored this week for putting Puerto Rico in the spotlight.

Anthony Ramos, Angel "Cucco" Peña and Justina Machado are being recognized for their commitment to Puerto Rican art and culture.

It's one part of the Raíces Gala, organized by the National Museum of Puerto Rican Arts and Culture.

Billy Ocasio, the museum's president, joined ABC7 to discuss the upcoming event and their recent accreditation from the American Alliance of Museums.
