New stamp celebrates farmers markets

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A new stamp celebrating farmers markets was unveiled Thursday at a spot where many Chicagoans buy produce each summer.

It took place at the Daley Plaza Farmers Market. Chicago's postmaster called them "a popular and communal pastime for many Americans."

The Farmers Market program in Chicago has been around for 35 years.
