ROCHESTER, NY --Surveillance cameras captured the stunning video of a car bursting into flames at a New York gas station.
In the moments after the explosion, the driver can be seen stopping, dropping and rolling, trying to put out flames on his own body.
The store's owner says the man had just filled a gas can and put it into his car when the vehicle blew up.
Despite rolling, the driver ended up with second and third degree burns. And officials aren't sure yet if he'll survive.
The big question now is how did his car catch fire?
Local station WHAM reports investigators are looking into whether the man spilled gas inside of his car, sparking the fire, or if the fire started from vapors escaping from his gas can.
