Cicero landlord gets life in prison for 2010 Valentine's Day murder, arson

CICERO, Ill. (WLS) -- Lawrence Myers was sentenced to life in prison for the murders of seven people who died in an apartment fire on Valentine's Day 2010 in suburban Cicero.

Prosecutors say Lawrence Myers wanted to burn down the buildingon South 48th Court to collect on an insurance policy.

A maintenance man who prosecutors say was hired to set the fire is awaiting trial.
