Those who worked at the Poplar Creek Music Theatre in Hoffman Estates have plenty of memories of the famed outdoor concert venue.

HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill. (WLS) -- Those who worked at the Poplar Creek Music Theatre in Hoffman Estates have plenty of memories of the famed, but now closed, outdoor concert venue. Memories like the time Frank Sinatra forgot his sheet music, or the day Neil Diamond played softball with the staff, or when Joe Cocker's crew lost a piano leg. Twenty years after the gates shut for the last time, hundreds of former employees are reuniting.

"There was just something special about the place. It touched a lot of people's lives," said former employee Sue Syslo-Baran, of Streamwood.
