CHICAGO (WLS) -- There may be some possible relief for people who say airport noise near O'Hare is making their lives miserable. The FAA said Thursday it is fast-tracking a study on the issue.

The expedited study is reviewing national standards for noise levels near major airports.

The results could qualify thousands of residents near O'Hare for subsidized soundproofing.
