CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago police are investigating after a 14-year-old girl was sexually assaulted in the Park Manor neighborhood near 71st and King Drive.

Paramedics were called to area around 10 a.m. Friday, CFD officials said. Neighbors said the girl was sexually assaulted in an alley and then came running to a restaurant for help. She told people she had been attacked by a man on a bike.

"So I called the police for her and I called her family," Jennifer McKay, manager at King Fish, said. "And they came and assisted. And they took her to the hospital."

Chicago police confirm the girl was taken to Comer Children's Hospital. They have no one in custody in that attack.

McKay said the victim described the offender as a man with dreadlocks on a mountain bike in his 20s or 30s, wearing a blue baseball cap.

"She was real shaken up," McKay said.

"It was really bad. Sad. That young girls like that, 12 or 13 years old, can't walk on the streets," Earl McKay, owner King Fish, said. "School starts next week."
