CHICAGO (WLS) -- Police questioned a person of interest Thursday in connection with a device resembling a camera that was found in a bathroom at an elementary school on Chicago's Near North Side.

The device was discovered on Sept. 7 in a staff bathroom on the third floor of Ogden International School's East Campus.

A school employee was removed from their responsibilities shortly after the camera-like device was discovered.

It is unclear whether the person of interest questioned by police is the employee. Authorities have not released the person's name. As of Thursday morning, no charges had been filed.

Principal Michael Beyer has said in a letter sent home to parents he is confident no images from the camera in the bathroom were transmitted. He also said security swept the entire building and no other devices were discovered.
