Photos: Car crashed into University Park daycare

A car slammed through the window of The Playhouse, Inc., in University Park Sunday night causing severe damage.
No one was inside the daycare when a car slammed into it Sunday night.
According to the owner, the car went through the window and into the infants room.
The owner also said there was glass from the windows all the way into the hallway.
Though the cribs were relatively unharmed, the crash brought down parts of the ceiling.
The daycare is closed and will remain closed until damage can be assessed and cleaned up.
The driver of the car was taken to the hospital with severe burns, according to police.
The daycare owner said that officials told her drag racing may have been involved in the crash.

CHICAGO -- A car slammed into a University Park daycare Sunday night that was luckily empty. The crash severely damaged the daycare's facilities but injured only the car's driver.
