GOLDSBORO, N.C. -- A teacher has died after an accident at Meadow Lane Elementary in Goldsboro, N.C., Tuesday morning.

Just after 8 a.m., police said 25-year-old Brandon Kincaid was hit by a private bus from the Small World day care center in the school parking lot on E. Ash Street.

Kincaid was rushed to Wayne Memorial Hospital where he later died.

The investigation into how it happened is ongoing.

Kincaid was a second grade teacher. His Facebook page shows he used a wheelchair. He was also a youth pastor at his father's church, Neuse Baptist Church in Kinston. His wife Sara is expecting their first child, a baby boy named Benjamin.

Kincaid's father, the Rev. Greg Kincaid, told ABC11 "If anyone wants to see Brandon again, they need to turn their life over to Jesus so that one day they will be able to meet with him in Heaven."

Wayne County Superintendent Dr. Michael Dunsmore told ABC11 that Kincaid was in his second year of teaching and had a tremendous impact on his students.

"He was a good teacher. He was a good person, and we just hate to have this happen," he said.

School officials said no students witnessed the accident. An emergency response team of counselors and psychologists has been brought in for anyone that needs them for as long as they are needed.
