A man died Sunday after being rescued from Lake Michigan.

A man died Sunday after being rescued from Lake Michigan.

The Chicago Fire Department responded to a person drowning in Lake Michigan near Leone Beach Park on Chicago's far North Side at 2:15 p.m.

A kayaker pulled the victim out of the water and performed CPR before emergency personnel were on the scene.

The man, who police said was in his 30s, was taken to St. Francis Hospital, where she later died.
