Abner Mikva receives Presidential Medal of Freedom

WASHINGTON (WLS) -- Former Illinois Congressman Abner Mikva was presented with the Presidential Medal of Freedom in a ceremony at the White House.

Ethel Kennedy, actress Meryl Streep and singer-songwriter Stevie Wonder were among the 18 recipients of the nation's highest civilian honor.

Obama says they all made the world stronger, wiser, and more humane.
