JOLIET, Ill. (WLS) -- Teachers at a Joliet school worked together to help a staff member who had Christmas gifts stolen from her home.
Evette Durham had been collecting Christmas gifts for underprivileged children at the school. While she was coaching a basketball game Thursday night, Durham's home was burglarized. Her personal belongings, along with the gifts, were stolen, so the school's staff decided to take up donations.
"They had a box of gifts for me, and they said here's an envelope. This is for you, to help you out," Durham said.
Durham says the donations are a blessing and show how much people care and come together to help one another out.
